The IDF School is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and the American Medical Association (AMA).

Each European CME credit (ECMEC®) corresponds to 1 hour of use (60 minutes of actual e-learning, excluding introductions etc.), and is granted upon completion of the module and final assessment. Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the American Medical Association (AMA), EACCME credits can be converted to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

The following healthcare professionals are eligible:

Primary Care Physicians Course: Practicing medical doctors, general practitioners, primary care physicians, and family physicians. Diabetes Educators Course: Practicing diabetes educators, registered nurses, registered dietitians, nurse practitioners, nurse educators, and pharmacists.

Residents of the following countries are eligible to participate: Afghanistan, Benin, Bhutan, Burundi, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Gambia (The), Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Liberia, Malawi, Micronesia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Niger, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sao Tome e Principe, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

The IDF School of Diabetes is not a university or other recognised academic institution. Certificates issued to learners do not entitle them to use the title of the course as a professional designation.
